Magic: The Gathering’s Duels of the Planeswalkers Expansion 3 hits Steam. Not only does Expansion 3 unlock three new cards for each previous Duels of the Planeswalkers decks, but also three new decks and a brand new boss – Sarkhan the Mad.

Some highlights you can unlock from your the older Duels of the Planeswalkers decks unlocks include Conquering Manticore, Lightning Bolt, Liliana’s Specter, Pestilence Demon, Sphinx of Magosi, Drove of Elves, Sprouting Thrinax, Tinker, Triskelion, and Rorix Bladewing.

The new decks? Niv-Mizzet’s Root of the Firemind offers a wonderful little take on the traditional blue-red counter-burn deck, with plenty of versatile removal spells, creatures that take advantage of them, and ways to meddle with the opponent’s plans.

Sorin Markov’s Master of Shadows is a vampire-centric powerhouse that comes out hard and fast, featuring Vampire Nighthawks and even a Vampire Nocturnus.

Gideon Jura brings Weapons of the Warrior to Duels of the Planeswalkers Expansion 3, a white soldier special featuring Stoneforge Mystic and Captain of the Watch.

In addition to new cards, new decks, and new opponents, Duels of the Planeswalkers Expansion 3 features five new challenge levels and three new achievements. Duels of the Planeswalkers Expansion 3 is available for immediate download on Steam.
